Spring is in the Air!

12 03 2010

The weather last weekend was wonderful! Not too bad the past few days but showere here and there. The temps have been great so I can’t complain about it! I just love seeing the flowers popping out of the groud! The trees are getting ready to bud, too. Spring is in the air for sure here!

Speaking of spring, check out some of the cards I have created recently. Lighter more airy colors, bonnets, birds and flowers – all springy things! ๐Ÿ™‚

Precious Metals

5 03 2010

I challenged my Secret Sister to create something different for this week. My choice was using an alumnium can to see what I could come up with. I was able to run this through the Big Shot using the lattice die cut. It made a really great, non traditional card. ๐Ÿ™‚ I used the Beautiful Butterflies embosslits for accent. Pretty in Pink, Whisper Whited, Going Gray, Basic Black were the colors. The brads are pink rhinestones.

Here’s a closer look.

Small Bonnet Card

5 03 2010

I just love the Easter bonnets! I will be making more of these in the days to come! ๐Ÿ™‚ I used the used the new Scallop Edge Corner punch, Beautiful Butterflies embosslit,ย  Sage Shadow cardstoce and ribbon. Love this color!!! The Whisper White was run through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder.

Girraffe Card

5 03 2010

I just love this stamp set! I cased this card from Debbie Henderson. I used Whisper White and DSP Shades of Spring. The stamp sets are Animal Stories and Little Angel. I used the Eyelet edge punch along one side of the girraffe. I used the small heart to make the cutouts.

Double Hearts Valentine

5 03 2010

I cased this from Kara Creech. I love it! So easy to do, too!

Praying for You Dryer Sheet

5 03 2010

I used the topnote, Whisper White, the Thoughts and Prayers stampset. I used markers on the stamp, stamped the image, then rubbbed SU’s glue stick all over the image and surrounding paper. Then placed the dryer sheet over it gently pressing it into the glue. I ย poured dazzling diamonds on the dryer sheet. Framed with the topnot, added ribbon and tag.

Owl Birthday Card

5 03 2010

ย I cased this cute owl from Deborah Jorgensen. Made a couple of cfhanges. I gave this to my nephew for his b-day. Super easy card to make. I used the topnot diecut, the leaves from the bird punch set, the small heart punch and circle punches. I made a pocket inside the card to put his cash in.ย  I made it using 2 scallop diecuts, one in chocolate chip and DSP Seet Pea and brads for bling. ๐Ÿ™‚
